Join Troop 495

Effective April 18, 2022, the Scouts BSA joining requirements have changed. They now state that a young person can be a member of Scouts BSA if they meet any of these requirements below.

New Scouts BSA joining requirements (effective April 18, 2022)

If your scout has previously participated in Cub Scouts - great! They may have earned their Arrow of Light Award and can now join a Scouts BSA Troop to continue their scouting adventure. If they have not had any previous Cub Scouting or camping experience - it's not a problem! Our Scouts, and their families, come from a variety of backgrounds. We will help you learn more about our meetings, camping trips and can help figure out what camping gear you may need or share the troop's gear.

You can visit our meetings before you make a commitment - and we are here to help you make the best choice for your family.

Boys experience a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster to achieve the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Camping, fun with friends -- and more. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Scouts BSA today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

Our Troop Meetings are on Tuesdays, 7pm-8.30pm at KIVFD.
